Texas Photographer Captures Huge Snake Feasting On A Fish

There has been a lot of buzz on social media about this diamondback snake eating a fish in Texas.

A wildlife photography hobbyist from Texas took pictures of mother nature at work when a large snake devoured a large fish at a local park.

While searching for green heron at the Landa Park fishing pier on Wednesday, April 19, Ed Means spotted a diamondback water snake eating a fish too large for the snake.

Texas wetlands are home to diamondback water snakes, but their exact population is unknown, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It can be found in the central and northern parts of the U.S. but is not venomous. Typical prey includes fish, frogs, toads, salamanders, and crayfish.
